The project is located in the district of Hamburg Winterhude, a green residential address on the Alster, which is characterized by upper middle-class perimeter block development with large apartments.
The existing spatial qualities of the old garden should be further developed, the functional and spatial relationships between house and garden should support the needs of the passionate garden idea collector with a tight time budget.
This means conceptually to understand the space-forming inventory as a quality. Further development from the found vegetation was a powerful framework for garden planning.
Three access points from three garden rooms provide the connection. Steps lead from the stairs and walkable planting areas lead to the seating area. Placement of the patio area away from the house into the garden supports the perspective effect. The spatial backdrop of the neighbouring gardens and not least the evening sun are used.
