The forecourt at the Market Dome, a representative open space on the Tossens beach promenade, is based on the "sea of grasses" theme and thus picks up on the immediate proximity to the North Sea. Green waves of Pennisetum, Calamagrostis and Miscanthus are crossed and framed by a curved band of light sandstone. The lounge and play areas integrated into the square provide space for the high frequency of use on the beach promenade.
