The playground in the Phoenixviertel district of Hamburg Harburg is divided into three sections: The traffic-calmed Gerade Straße, the playground area of the KITA Eddelbüttelstraße, and the public playground area adjacent to Beckersberg. The design envisages a coherent play landscape that connects the sub-areas, creates identity and enables creative, diverse play. The basic design theme underlying the planning is 'microcosm forest edge'. The future play stations are arranged in the form of a course and designed in line with the forest edge theme. The play equipment will be decorated with figurative representations and stimulate the imagination of visitors by means of scale jumps. Areas of vegetation, which integrate the characteristic trees as well as robust shrubs and bushes, surround the sand play islands. The partially raised edges of these fall protection areas provide informal seating.
