Anne-Frank-Platz is one of the few public squares in Mülheim-Dümpten. The green space is located in the middle of a residential area and is characterized by its framing old trees. The original design of the square dates back to the 1970s and has been

and supplemented over the decades with elements and materials of the respective contemporary taste, so that there was no longer a consistent design. This led to a reduction in attractiveness. For a long time, the old trees continued to be a defining element. However, the majority of the trees have since been felled due to their lack of stability.

These functional and design deficits made it necessary to reorganize the entire green space. With an area of around 7,500 m², Anne-Frank-Platz offers good conditions for multifunctional use. The area serves as a playground, football pitch and meeting place for adults.
