Wankner Landscape architects and urban planners

The Wankner and Fischer office was founded in 1983 by Mr. Wankner and was given its partnership structure and name in 1991 when Mr. Fischer joined. For many years, the areas of open space planning, landscape planning and urban land use planning were divided between the two partners. Both partners had their own areas of focus: Mr. Fischer usually represented open space planning, while Mr. Wankner was responsible for urban land-use planning and extraction and recultivation planning. We have benefited from this long-standing partnership and linking of all areas of responsibility ever since.







In May 2020, after more than 30 years in landscape architecture, Mr. Wankner greatly reduced his professional activities and retired completely in May 2023 after founding Wankner und Fischer GmbH. Since May 2020, Mr. Fischer has continued to run the office in all specialist areas in the usual manner with the support of Ms. Ertl (urban land use planning, landscape and environmental planning as well as mining and recultivation planning) and Mr. Wiederseiner (open space planning). Following the transition of our office to a limited liability company, the next forward-looking step was taken in September 2023 when Irene Ertl and Alf Wiederseiner joined the management of the company. As long-standing employees, they will take over the tasks of the management together with partner Uwe Fischer in future.





We will continue to offer all service phases for the planning areas of open space planning, extraction and recultivation planning and urban land use planning. With the use of state-of-the-art technology and intensive communication with all those involved in planning, we enable the successful completion of any project.





Our office, in our own building, is located in the north of Munich at the transition to the open countryside.
