Through the reduction to the basic building blocks of public space in the urban fabric, to square and street, the aesthetic quality of the urban space is restored.

As a design concept for the urban space, a reduction to three structural types of traffic areas is proposed: the network of alleys with asphalt pavements and roadways in natural stone, Münsterplatz and Promenadeplatz as independently designed square areas, the pedestrian zone and Theresienstrasse in level development with small stone paving in the ductus of a street space. In the spatial perception, a generous, coherent urban space is created, clearly defined by the built facades and the uniform, almost monochrome urban floor. In contrast to Theresienstrasse, Münsterplatz is defined by greenery and thus also clarifies its non-commercial character. The existing large trees are retained, the new, precisely bordered lawns, which are laid out at different heights to the pavement, refer to earlier layers of time, to the walled cemetery. The formation of inlays could also be continued as a formal treatment of the presumed foundation remains. Driveways, bus and taxi stops are integrated into the new traffic area.
