The Leipzig Media Centre is located in the vicinity of the MDR broadcasting headquarters in the Connewitz district. The former railway tracks characterise the eastern part of the site and were the decisive inspiration for the design of the track park. Gravel surfaces, birch trees, butterfly bushes and barberry hedges give the park its unmistakable face. Henri Nannen's saying, "Journalism is the talk of the corridors" sets the second goal of designing the track park and garden courtyards as a meeting place and extended workspace for the media center staff. Together, the Gleispark and the Gartenhöfe have created a diverse urban landscape that is very well received by users and residents of the district.
